During week 1 we set up the initial blog we uploaded a power point jpeg that depicted my initial preliminary schedule this can be viewed in the preliminary schedule page. I also used btemplate to adept my blog to make it appear more colourful. This I created by adding a red design to the back of my blog.
week 2
in week two we looked a finding examples or our preliminary task we viewed school magazines and annotated them we then produced mock ups of a front cover and contents page.
week 3
in week 3 we started our preliminary task and took the photos for our front covers. we then started to edit our photographs using Photoshop. During this process I created a storyboard showing the changes I made to the main photograph on my front cover.
Week 4
We started to choose the genre for our actual piece of work. We researched different types of music magazines then prepared a PowerPoint presentation on the different genres of music in the presentation I described every detail of it and why this was done. This helped me to make an informed decision of the genre i wanted to do which was rap music.
Week 5
during this week we created questionnaires to help us to distinguish between the types of people who would be inclined to purchase our magazines. we used differant genres and questions about gender and age to decide who would be likely to buy the type of magazine we were selling and designing
week 6
during this week i made my decisions on colour and font type i decided very early that a wanted a font that looked very serious. I also decided that the font colour needed to be red to reflect the colours of blood and seriousness. To do this i also decided much of my background colours would be black to match the dark reputation of the genre.
week 7
during week 7 i started to put together my treatment in which i decided on the colours i would use and initial ideas about both font type and layout. I struggled at this point to make decions that would affect my final piece as i found it very difficult to start to picture my final piece
